Booking for the Activity Hut is payable in advance.
Camping fees are payable to the warden on departure.
Campers are responsible for removing their rubbish fully from the site.
How To Find Us
The site is signposted from the A642 prominently. The sign takes you down Pinfold Lane, where you turn right down a minor road and then left down a green lane. Passing through the black metal gate, continue down the narrow unsurfaced lane, bending right before arriving at the campsite.
There is sufficient parking at the site for a up to 25 vehicles. Large groups are advised to drop off their party at the lay-by in Pinfold Lane, making a safer and more adventurous start to the visit. Arrival and Departure times should be arranged with the duty warden.
Vehicle access to the camping areas is by arrangement only.

A Go Outdoors store (approx. 5miles away) can be found by following the A Wakefield Road in a Wakefield direction a and approx. 1 mile after going through Middlestown via a left turn.

Whitley Beaumont has been used by Scouts for camping since the late 1920’s and was until it was purchased by the Huddersfield Scouts Association in 1950 part of The Whitley Hall Estate. The Activity Hut was acquired in the late 1960’s from Milnsbridge YMCA and with the re-organisation of the Huddersfield District in 1971 the kitchen was added.
